Phoenix Fashion Week which has been termed “The leading fashion industry event in the South West” was established in 2005 with its purpose being to showcase different types and forms of fashion from talented, established and emerging fashion designers. Based in the fastest growing metropolitan area in the United States, Phoenix fashion week promotes diversity and culture from designers all over the world,it acts as a host to fashionistas, fashion bloggers, retailers. It is supported by Talking Stick Resort Amazing Lash Studio, VIP Global designer Showcase and Sugar Sugar.
It was a three day event which celebrates a four month long emerging designer boot camp in which 14 hand selected winners have been preparing to launch their collections for the fashion event, with a purpose which is, serving as a bridge between designers and buyers. It also serves as a platform for emerging designers to sign endorsement deals with different firms. Several success stories have been recorded like 7 diamonds which is a premiere line of men's trendy dress shirts making it's way into Nordstrom via Phoenix Fashion Week.
As much as The Phoenix Fashion Week is all about creativity, fashion and making connections, it is also about giving back and being involved in charitable partnerships. In 2009, the organization launched its first ever “giving back” holiday initiative working with the locals called “Helping Hands AZ” to raise money and donate apparel and gift cards to needy families across the valley.
This year, a charitable push which benefits local breast cancer organisations was formed called “FASHIONABLY PINK”.
FASHIONABLY PINK; Celebrity And Survivor Fashion Show
This runway show aimed to support Arizona non profit “Don't be a chump!, check for a lump!” cancer organisation. The funds raised would definitely make a difference in the fight against breast cancer through education and assistance.
The fashionably Pink fashion show started off the Phoenix Fashion Week on the 5th of October, 2017. About $50,000 was raised from the Fashionably Pink fashion show last year and we could only hope for a better outcome this year. The evening included a glamorous cocktail reception, exciting red carpet shows, a charitable and silent live auction with proceedings benefiting “Don't be a Chump!,Check for a lump!”.
Phoenix Fashion Week also gives back through their educational fashion seminars and workshops; Business Of Fashion Seminar Seriesled by top industry experts. Here you learn about the perspective of business in Fashion.
