About the Photographer and Director:
Allow me to re-introduce myself, my name is Bone! B.O.N.E. but you can call me Zire. I’m a photographer - Born in Harlem Village, grew up in the Boogie Down Bronx, rested in QU, lived on planet Brooklyn, now residing in Arizona. I was introduced to Hip Hop in my early toddler years, hoppin out of my stroller and running around block parties hosted by soon to be legendary DJs like Bamabata, KRS and Red Alert and many other.
My first LPs were Doug E. Fresh - The Show, Rappin Duke - Duh ha, Mr. Magic, Chubb Rock. I later became a BBoy/Boogie Arist - battle'n, breakin and poppin n lockin in school talent shows, school yards, building hallways, etc. I also went to school with some of Hip Hop's greatest graffiti artists. My Hip Hop favorites are Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, KRS, Rakim and Rick the Ruler. Hip Hop is in my blood. Word, if you listen to my heart, you may hear the beat from Whodini's Five Minutes of Funk. Salute to the Hip Hop World!!!
I’ve been documenting hip hop and music concerts for the past 10 years and I’m just getting warm. Here are some of my personal favorite images. I have some projects in the works, and the film project is in development. Stay tuned. If you're interested in supporting, participating and want more information,
