Night Lights studies what happens to an environment when daylight is replaced by street lamps, building illumination, headlights, moonlight, lightning, neon, reflections, and long exposure.
A familiar bridge can become geometric light. A coastline becomes a line of illumination. A storm briefly redraws the horizon. The moon changes the color of a mountain range.
People may occasionally appear, but they are not the subject. When a crowd, performer, portrait, or gathering becomes the reason for the photograph, the work moves to Night Life.

A city does not disappear when the sun goes down. Neither does the landscape. Their shapes remain, but illumination, shadow, weather, reflection, and darkness reorganize what the eye notices.
