The mile-long wall displays a collection of graffiti and painted murals by more than 250 artists from across the nation who periodically assemble at a creative event known as “Paint Louis.”
Each selected artist illustrates their visual perspective and artistic skills on the industrial wall or structure that has been designated as an art canvas. Annually, paint-overs are done over on murals that have been vandalized by other artists, or faded due to weather. The wall is continuously revived with new visual pieces that keeps the wall vibrant and alive. The visual art project started in 1997, organized by the Paint Louis organization.
